MIDNIGHT MADNESS TOURNAMENT STARTS TOMORROW

It's been a while since we have posted anything in our blog.  Pre-season is always a crazy time.  Well now things are about to get even more crazy with the First Annual Midnight Madness Tournament.

This late night tournament is a fantastic way to shake off the cobwebs and get back into Indoor game form.

RED DEER TOURNAMENT RESULTS

This weekend five Selects FC games participated in the 2013 iHotel Tournament and the teams definately showed their stuff.  Good job to all the team, coaches and fans on a fantastic out of town tournament.


 Tournament Results:

Selects FC 1999 Girls (Ewasiuk) - U14 - GOLD MEDAL
Selects FC 1999 Boys (Schmaus) - U14 - SILVER MEDAL
Selects FC 2001 Boys (Dennis) - U12 - BRONZE MEDAL

Special Mention to the following two teams as well:

Selects FC 2000 Girls (LeMoignan) - U14 - 4th Place
Selects FC 2002 Girls (Pajo) - U12 - 5th Place

Summer Sizzler Results

Congrats to the U14 Girls teams on their Summer Sizzler medals this past weekend.   Selects FC 2000 Girls walked away with the Gold Medal and the Selects FC 1999 Girls the Bronze.

The U12 Selects FC Boys Tier 2 team also won bronze in their pool on the weekend.  Good job boys!

You have to always like games where Selects teams play other Selects teams.  The two U14 Girls teams went head to head in regular season play yesterday and it was a fast and fun game.  Great job to both teams for a great game!

Selects FC Girls Volunteer at MWSA Mini-Fest

Some of the girls from the Selects FC 2000 team spent some fun time at this years MWSA Mini-fest face painting young soccer players.  The girls got to express their creative side and have some fun too!   All the kids who had their face painted would smile or giggle when they saw themselves in the mirror.

Thank you girls for helping out the this years Mini-Fest!  You definitely brought some extra fun and smiles to MANY of the little soccer players!

U10 Selects FC Boys Own Sherwood Wood Park Classic!

Great job to Matthew Powell and the U10 Selects FC Boys team for a fantastic performance at the Sherwood Park Classic Tournament this past weekend.

The boys won all four of their games 4-0, 3-2, 3-1, and 4-0.

This is a fantastic achievement as they played teams full of 2003 kids, and the U10 Boys are all 2004 (with one 2005).

Kick Off Classic Tournament Cancelled

Darn that Alberta weather!  Many Selects FC teams are disappointed that the Kick Off Classic has been cancelled due to poor weather yesterday and today.   So many of us were looking forward to competing in this tournament. 

Go get em' Selects at the next tournament!

U12 Selects FC Boys - Duggan Silver

The U12 Selects FC team coached by Paul Dhaliwal and Dan Prasad competed at the Duggan Tournament this past weekend. They won 6-2 in their first game and tied the 2nd game 3-3 after making a come back from 3-1 in first half. The final medal game was a nail biter and goal scoring bonanza that ended in an amazing 10-10 tie! All the hard work paid off for the boys, they walked a way with a silver medal.  Good Job Selects!

Season Kick Off Party a HUGE Success!

Wow what a party we had last night!   This years Selects FC Kick Off Party was bigger and better than ever....   We had over 450 people show up this year!  The weather was awesome, prizes galore, the soccer games were lots of fun and the food and music was totally great!

Thank you to all the volunteers who help make this annual event a smashing success!

FC Edmonton Season Kick Off!

Great job to the Selects FC teams that sold fundraising tickets to the FC Edmonton season opener.  Nearly 200 tickets were sold and everyone that attended enjoyed the game and each others company.
